The refrigeration unit is the heart of the cold room – a correctly chosen unit keeps the temperature stable, runs quietly and uses less energy. Kide units are made in Europe, use environmentally friendly refrigerants (R-290 and A2L) and are equipped with an electronic controller. Each model comes with a table of cooling capacity and recommended room volume.

Frequently asked questions

Should I choose a monoblock or a split unit?

A monoblock is compact and quick to install – it suits rooms with enough space around them to dissipate heat. The condenser of a split unit is installed separately, e.g. outdoors or in a plant room, so the noise and heat stay out of the kitchen or sales area.

How is the capacity of the unit chosen?

We take into account the room volume, panel thickness, temperature, quantity and turnover of goods, door openings and the ambient temperature. The model tables show the recommended room volume; we make the exact calculation during the project.

Which refrigerants does Kide use?

New models use R-290 (propane) or A2L refrigerants (e.g. R-455A, R-454C), which comply with the new F-gas Regulation.
