Front-loading (undercounter) dishwashers for cafés, bars and restaurants – Meiko, Comenda and Thesis.
A front-loading (undercounter) dishwasher is a compact and versatile machine for cafés, bars, smaller restaurants and office kitchens. The machine fits under the worktop, the rack is loaded from the front and one cycle takes 1–3 minutes. Models with a higher loading height and XL models can also wash larger plates, trays and kitchen utensils.
Typically up to 40 racks per hour, which with a 500 × 500 mm rack means up to approximately 700 plates per hour. In practice output is lower, as dishes have to be loaded into the rack and lifted out of the machine.
A standard loading height (approx. 315–360 mm) suits plates and glasses. If you also wash large plates, trays, bowls or GN containers, choose a model with a higher loading height (400–435 mm) or an XL machine with a 500 × 600 mm rack.
If the floor drain or sewer connection is higher than the bottom of the machine, a drain pump is required. Many models have one as standard; on others it can be added.
