Glasswashers – spot-free glasses without polishing

A glasswasher is a working tool for bars, cafés and restaurant dining rooms that washes glasses and cups in a couple of minutes. With the right water quality, glasses come out of the machine sparkling and do not need to be polished by hand – this saves working time and reduces glass breakage.

Frequently asked questions

Can a glasswasher also wash dishes?

Smaller machines are mainly used for glasses and cups. A glasswasher with a 500 × 500 mm rack can also wash plates and cutlery, but the door opening of a glasswasher is usually lower than that of a dishwasher, so large plates and bowls may not fit.

Why do glasses get spots?

Spots are caused by minerals dissolved in the water that remain on the glass after drying. The solution is water softening or reverse osmosis, the right amount of rinse aid and the correct rinse temperature. A machine with reverse osmosis delivers sparkling glasses without polishing.

What size of rack should I choose?

350 × 350 and 400 × 400 mm racks suit small bars and cafés where space is limited. The 500 × 500 mm rack is the standard size also used in dishwashers – so the same racks can be used in both machines.
